Media Noche food pack distribution for ex-ELE workers

Another round of food pack distribution in Wellington for Media Noche to those on work visa and residents who have kids here. Thanks to Belong Aotearoa and Migrant Action Trust for providing the additional donations.

Thanks once again to Bulwagan Foundation Trust for letting us use Filipino Community Centre as our meeting point.

We also appreciate Pinoy SelectioNZ store in Tawa for sorting and packing the items, working with our budget and even accommodating last-minute requests. Bernard of Migrante Aotearoa became our delivery man from Porirua to Petone.

Compassion Soup Kitchen Te Kīhini Hupa o Pūaroha gave out meals and food packs. Here’s their schedule for the rest of the holiday period:

The food banks are already closed but The Wellington City Mission at Newtown told us that they can provide food/essential packs to ALL ex-ELE workers when they open again on Wednesday.

Across the country, there are still a lot of people who haven’t found or started their new job yet. We are still open for donations.

(Donee status, email us at mabuhay@banyuhayaotearoa.org if you want to get an invoice - for $5 and up)

Migrante Aotearoa: 38-9015-0783387-01

Lastly, thanks to all volunteers, community leaders and other non-profit org coordinators, who without any hesitation, extended their hand to help us provide support to our kababayan.

This is a community effort and we are so grateful to be part of it.

Mabuhay po tayong lahat. Kia kaha.
